Stop particle emitter animation at the first cycle

Hello again! Is there a way to stop a particle emitter animation after its first cycle? I’m using the particle emitter classes for 2D animation and it would be quite useful a method which allows me to play an animation only once (like attack animation), without using a time variable in simple update, for example. I’ve searched fot it in the jme java doc but unfortunally I haven’t found it. Thanks!
