Terrain Editor: Can't figure out slopes & can't use alpha terrain textures

Hello everyone,

we have two problems using the terrain editor:

  1. How do you use the slope tool? I understand that you set the two points using right-click and ctrl-right-click. But even after I set the two points, the slope does not get created. Am I missing a step here?

  2. We tried to use a terrain texture that was partly opaque and partly transparent.
    However it seems that the terrain shader overwrites the alpha information of the texture we use with the alpha information of the textuer used for texture splatting. Is there a way to make the shader take the alpha information of the original texture into account?
    Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like a small change in the shading code.

I believe the SDK terrain editor was a WIP, and something I intend to take over and continue with in the coming months…

Not the ideal answer you were looking for sadly, but that’s how FOSS works :frowning:
