TerrainPage normals

Hi,



  when terrainPage divides the heightMap in blocks, two different normals appear at the edges, resulting in a very ugly visual effect. I've seen a couple of posts from last year regarding this issue, but I haven't seen any reply with a solution to that. The fixNormals() method doesn't solve the problem neither.



Is this bug still open?

The code on fixNormals() seems to do things, removes some normals:



deleteNormalVBO(right);

deleteNormalVBO(down);

deleteNormalVBO(tb);



but in practice seems to do nothing, the edges are still very visible and the normals are strill there.


All I know is that it used to work at some point… I think Renanse made that method.

Yeah, it did work at one point.  There was some activity on that topic later and…  I don't really remember what happened.  I could look into it again though.  I haven't looked at it much because we use a z-up based terrain class at work.

Put a patch in bug tracker which should fix seams in TerrainPage.
