Hi,
I want to know if jME run faster whether I send to it texture pages or multiple textures.
Thanks
If by textures pages you mean something commonly known as texture atlas, then the answer would be yes, it should be faster. Less different textures result in less (costly) texture state changes.
Thanks for your answer Gaheris,
You are right, I wanted to say texture atlas.
But, I wanted to know wether jME automatically regroup the texture states of the "brother nodes" that have the same texture state to avoid the texture state changes.
Yes, jME does this. If you use the render queue, then things in the opaque queue render in an order such that texture state changes are minimized.
Year ! That's great ! Thanks for your answer !
Targ, I know it's just a bunny, but your icon frightens me…
Unlike your Rorschach icon?
It's not just a bunny ! It's Max from the famous comic "Sam & Max: Surfin' the Highway".
