The AlphaState is what tells the engine that you want to draw a transparent object. You need to put it in the Transparent Queue and add the right AlphaState, this is due to performance… you should not expect the engine to check every object loaded and automatically decide if it should be draw in transparent mode or not. That is up to the programmer to do, IMHO.
