Trying to use texture class

Problem being texture needs a image object and a image object needs a java.niol.bytebuffer object and i’m don’t know how to use byte buffer. Can somebody show me how to use byte buffer to read in a image?

Why not use TextureManager?

well there is a thought i’ll look into it

just wondering but the jme .8 from the site doesn’t have TextureManager does it

got another quick question the TextureManager.loadImage returns a com.jme.image.Image. First off why and secondly can i change com.jme.image.Image to java.awt.Image

yes it does, it's in the utils package.

com.jme.image.Image is organized and formatted to become a OpenGL texture.

If you want a java.awt.Image, just load it with Java's ImageIO. No reason to use jME to load a Java Image when Java can do it directly.

well i’m using the TGA loader but alrite

can’t i just use the com.jme.image.Image

never mind i figured it out. All by my self
