User guide in PDF

Is there any downloadable, ready to print version of this user’s guide. I can’t find any :(. It would be very useful for people who don’t like to read from screen like me.

Yes, that would really be great.

Hi, I'm currently trying to learn Latex so I thought it would be nice to practice by doing what you ask for. I have already finished the first page of "Chapter 1 - Getting Started". It's looking quite good. It's really easy to have it all organized as Parts, Chapters, Sections, Subsections… etc. I'll let you know when I finish the whole Chapter 1.

I also noticed there are a lot of missing stuff. This might be a good opportunity for the gurus to write a little more :D. I'll build a pdf but also share the Latex file so that we can have it updated.

I have already finished Chapter 1. I need to fix some stuff though. Mostly it's about things that are wider than the page, like some code fragments, tables or images. I'll try to fix them now.

By the way, where can I put the file so everyone can easily get it?

I would try putting it on the Wiki, but if not you could always ZIP and mail it to Mojomonkey or another developer, they'd probably hard-link it to the site somewhere.

BTW, you should consider copying everything into OpenOffice, making it look right, and OpenOffice has an amazing PDF exporter that could expedite this process a little bit. (Just a suggestion. I think what you're doing is totally fantastic.)

Well, the whole point was learning Latex :D, anyway I appreciate your suggestion. I've managed to fix those issues, there might be some text that's too close to the edge but nothing that would not get printed. Image resizing was really simple so that's fixed too. I'll send Chapter 1 now to Mojomonkey.

There is now a wiki link to download user's guide as pdf. The first chapter is in place.
