Video AVI

I understand there's a way to load an avi video during the game (for an intro or smth).

I hope there is help on the wiki… Is there?

And anyways… how about the compression. can i load a divx or mpg4 video? i wonder how…

I dont suppose its possible to see your source code?

PS:

You said that it playes a lot formats… Is it fast ? I mean is it fast as the default video frame rate ? The console output helps … When i run a flv video with 30 fps the console shows only 20… sometimes 23… and high rate mpg or divx movies are too slow to enjoy :frowning:

flv mostly crashes those that play 13
3gp :-o 8-7
xvid/divx avi 23-24
.divx 23-24
mpeg 20-21
wmv 24-25

but they all look watchable enough despite the console data indications, video sizes very the largest 640*480 at 21-25
jme frames was comfortably in the hundreds too 167-202 worst case

Wow, this is cool, tx.

damn, divx high resolution vids have only 8 fps :frowning: maybe a driver update helps, but i don't think so :frowning:

Kr0e

update:

Ok, it was a driver problem… now i have the same frame rates

Greetings

I tried one video and it didn

What format should it be?

I listed a bunch above the only ones that didn't work was .rmvb and .flv (in most instances)

Hmm, this is strange… the program plays ALL files on my pc xD flv isn't a problem, too… After the driver update…

Even mkv movies are played …

I use XP… maybe Vista makes problems… i have not test it…

PS: i hope you use the start.bat

Yes. i tried another video and it worked. VERY VERY NICE. nice work.

anybody aver downloaded this and might have it lying arround had but lost it in hard drive crash and the links nolonger work

What is this? I mean, is it an ffmpeg java binding or what?

Also, unless it uses DirectShow, using codecs like Xvid/mpeg4 etc is not legal in countries with software patents (US, Most of Europe)  without paying license fees to MPEG-LA.
