VMware Workstation + jME

Hey guys, I'm trying to see if I can get jME to run in a VMware instance and it's not going very well.

I've been able to enable 3D acceleration successfully in VMware, but when I try to run a jME test through it I get:

SEVERE: Cannot create window
Exception in thread "Thread-5" java.lang.Error: Cannot create window: Could not
find a valid pixel format
        at com.jme.system.lwjgl.LWJGLDisplaySystem.initDisplay(Unknown Source)

        at com.captiveimagination.jme.GameManager.run(GameManager.java:328)
        at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

This is beyond my range of expertise and I was hoping either someone else has been able to get it to work with VMware before, or might know how to get past this issue.

Didn't I just reply to this over in the lwjgl forum?

I don't think you'll be able to get it to work with VMWare or Parallels (I've tried both). Neither of their drivers support a full 3D implementation, and they're both primarily focused on getting Direct3D to work first.

Yeah…well…I posted it here initially and then thought it was probably more of a question for LWJGL so I posted it there as well.

I responded there, so I'll quite duplicate posting.
