Great progress! Fixed a bunch of bugs & found further optimizations now that VR instancing is tightly built into my jMonkeyEngine branch. Complex scenes in VR are now seeing over 60% faster rendering than naive 2 viewport, 2 passes methods. I got floating text to work, even when it has controls on it:
