Wavefront .obj With Multiple Textures

Hello Everyone!
This is my first post on this forum! I have been programming in many languages (including Java) for about 5 (almost 6) years now,
however I am new to the jMonkey Engine. I was just wondering if someone could help me with a small task. I have a Wavefront .obj model (it does not
matter what other format I may have to export this too to more easily achieve this), with multiple textures (multiple image files), I was wondering if there was
a way to apply all these textures in the engine, I looked online but most of the links I saw that lead to the answer of this question were broken :frowning: .

Thanks for reading!

Well either you have a mat file as per obj standart.
Or you name the meshes and set them a material programatically in jme.

Thank you for your reply! By mat file do you mean the .mtl? And with your second option, are you saying that I should use the SDK's material editor to accomplish this task?

For multiple textures in one model you have two choices:

  1. Texture Atlas
  2. Split the mesh into multiple geometries and wrap them in a node.

The blender importer for example automatically does 2 for you.
