What is the licensing for the models in the JMETests project?

Hi all,

I would like to use models from the JMETests project (and generally JME examples) in my (potentially commercial) game.

For example, I am using the tree model from TestTransparentShadows, I am also using the HoverTank model from TestHoverTank, and I am using a JME grass texture from some terrain examples (hence why I ask the question with a screenshot of an old map).

So, I guess my questions are:

  1. Are the JMETest models licensed to be used in a game?
  2. Are the JMETest models licensed to be used in a COMMERCIAL game?
  3. Are there any exceptions? (If the models cannot be used in a commercial game, are there any that can? If they can be used in a commercial game, are there any that can’t?)

Thanks.

AFAIK the models included in the JMETest are all under the same BSD (3-clause) license as the rest of JME. If that’s the case yes they can be used in commercial games. If one (or a few) models differ from the main license, the common practice is to put a different license file inside the folder where the asset resides.

Yes all models are under the same BSD license as JME.
