WidgetViewport & ParticleManager

Hi!



Has anyone ever tried to attach the particles of a ParticleManager to a WidgetViewport? If so, please post the relevant lines of code.

I have one scene with particles and want to view it in splitscreen from different angles.

My scene graph looks like this:


WidgetAbstractFrame
+-WidgetViewport
  +-Node
    +-scene
    +-particles with the camera from this viewport
+-WidgetViewport
  +-Node
    +-scene
    +-particles with the camera from this viewport


The scene is rendered correctly. The particles either are not shown or they flicker on the whole screen.

I may be wrong, but that package is likely to be phased out as it does things contrary to how jME currently works and the original author has not stopped by in a long time.



That said, it may be an issue with trying to use renderqueue with the old seperate widget rendering pipeline. You might try setting the particle’s to not use the renderqueue (something like manager.getParticles().setRenderQueueMode(Renderer.QUEUE_SKIP))
