WoM (the n-th approach) is slowly progressing. See a new video in the playlist on
http://www.world-of-mystery.de/
The jME version is shown in the third video in the youtube playlist.
wow 3 headed dogs! will try to have a play when I get home.
Err, not really three-headed. That's just some dogs and a missing collision detection
Meanwhile I work on a very simple editor so I can build a city in game:

I would test it, but i can't login. Is there some guest account available?
The screenshots and videos are from a local version. Give me some days to fix things and to update the server.

Cant wait - vids looked good
Then I hope you won't be disappointed: The first two videos (hunting and doors) have been made with the TGE (and MMOKIT) version. For about a year I played with this commercial engine and while the client stuff is really good and easy it totally fails server-side and the network code is a waste of bandwidth and CPU. The steps necessary to deploy a TGE/MMOKIT game was so troublesome that I spent several weeks on that without success.
These are the reasons I came back to jME but I like the door animation and the archery extension was fun so I kept the two videos. The FPS style archery will never make it into the final game.
Only the third video and the latest screenshot shows the jME version.
OK, the new version is there. Make sure you use the installer from the project page.

You can login with an account name and password you make up as long as this account is not used yet. That means when you picked a login and a password you should remember the password g
nice videos
Tried the client.
Indeed, it is very much a mystery. Program did run and was a dwarf running very slowly over a low res landscape - am i supposed to find something to do ??
Have you read my post about the restart using jME? It's in a very early stage and doesn't reflect the TGE video.
There are some NPCs but as the server continues to run even when nobody is online it's random where they are.
