Be me, smartass born 1973, with quite huge gaps in knowledge, autodidact, started coding as a ~10yo in 1983 (Atari XL), was part of the Atari ST / Commodore Amiga demoscene, learned 680x0 assembly. Never studied computer science. Instead, quit studying economics before finishing it, preferred working as a C/C++ software developer. Worked a few years in gaming industry, mainly developed UI and campaign editor components. Then left, worked as a full stack developer for Java/JavaScript/Html-based enterprise applications for many years, experienced the absurdities of the dot-com-bubble. Nowadays working as a software developer / software architect in a company offering consulting and realisation services on CS-/IT- and marketing-related topics.
