Any whay to change jmonkeys theme/colorscheme?

I have been having a bit of trouble working in jmonkey because of all the white and light gray UI panels are hard on my eyes.
I can work for about 10 or 15 minutes and then my eye start to hurt.I looked arounf the net on and off for a few days and cant find anything except the colors and font for the java class window.

I have tried the plugin for the dark numbus theme but that only effected the java class and a few tabs.

I have a feeling changing jmonkeys color sceme/theme is not going to be easy,

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I tried like 15 LAF for the SDK and all of them are lame…either the color scheme plainly suck, either some control are not displayed properly and ruin the usability.
I ended up getting back to the default LAF.

Thank you nehon:) I searched laf for netbeans sdk and after a bit of digging I found that all I needed to do was install the dynamic look and feel changer plugin and now its working.

I agree most are a bit odd, if i have any trouble i will just make a copy of the original laf and edit it.

The jme sdk (I assume you are talking about this) is based on netbeans, so probably he usual netbeans themes could work.

As I don’t use the sdk, could you report back if this works? Might help others with similar problems.

i got some of them to work but they only effects the background and text of the text editor window.here is a example pic

I will play with it a bit more tomarrow

Its not “NetBeans Themes”, its Java “Look and Feels” (LAF). They work for any swing app.

ez-on-da-ice seems to work great on JMonkey as well. Try downloading it. Screenshot

Hmm… That really looks quite nice. We were looking for a cool theme to give the SDK a more unified look across systems… I’ll take a closer look at this, thanks.

Very nice.

Also now we are officially in the club of cool game editing tools which all use dark color themes

Haha too true with the recent autodesk products

Autodesk, Adobe & even Blender have all gone this way.
I’m not complaining, the charcoal themes do look really nice

Dark theme FTW! =)
