So I read the many posts about the fade in fade out effect, and although it looks very simple, it does not work for me for some reason.



I have implemented everything as noted in: https://wiki.jmonkeyengine.org/legacy/doku.php/jme3:advanced:fade?s[]=fade&s[]=setduration



no error nothing , and although the compiler executes the fade.fadeIn() function, nothing happens. What am I missing here?



(of course I tried setting a longer duration or a different fade value but nothing seemed to make a difference)
