GameShop App On Google Play

I am excited and proud to announce the new Android App I am creating using the JMonkeyEngine. It is currently on Google Play Closed Testing. It will be a forum just like this one. Centered around publishing apps to Google Play. It is made with the JMonkeyEngine. 3D Apps are the new sell

All games through GameShop are encouraged to be made with the JMonkeyEngine. I encourage your support. I need at least 20 emails to proceed to production. Thats saying 20 emails before the app is fully released

Please do support

@adi.barda I cannot put this on the Google Play Store due to a new Terms And Agreement Policy. All users must have an Email List of 20 testers before publishing to Google Play. This policy is recent. Within the last month.

Hi @GameShop-FOSS,

Someone recently notified me and said that they confused your company “JmonkeyGames Inc.” with the official JMonkeyEngine brand. And this is not allowed under jme licensing.

It is important for JME to have a clear and distinguishable brand that is not confused with any personal ventures or companies created by jme devs. This prevents confusion and is also necessary to ensure that no one uses the Jmonkey brand as a way to gain unwarranted credibility while partaking in illegal, unethical, or any similarly questionable activity that jme would not support.

So could you change your company name of “JmonkeyEngine Inc” to avoid causing confusion?

You can still credit JME in the credits of your app, but its very important for all of us jme devs to ensure that we do not choose company or organization names that imply any sort of sponsorship or ownership over the JME organization.

I would instead suggest something like “GameShopEngine Inc.” to match the name of your app.
