To any/all Mac users in here: what is the highest Java version that can be used with your systems? What is the best web-resource to check on such things?
(I'm asking this so that when I compile web/net distributions of demos/games I don't leave anyone out! ; - )
currently only 64 bit machines can run java 6…
and as far as i know they are roughly 1-2 years old…
but alot of people still have 32 bit intel machines which are java 5 as are ppc…
ppc machines are still around with a significant percentage…
