Saturday, march 19. I got started modeling a Hovertank in blender ( suggested by Monkey Zone demo game ), without details yet, so i created this post to register the modeling process of this kind of models ;P.
soon after Finished this model… i’ll continue modeling other hovertanks :). hope this model can be useful later.

Cool, the model looks quite hipoly, is that a reversible subsurf? Because the hipoly version should only be used for creating the normal maps.
@Normen: Yes. It’s a reversible subsurf. I rendered this model with subsurf level 2. Is so difficult to find reference images for this kind of models. These were the image references i found :

Hmmm, i understood you @Normen, very thanks, because i didn't know the creations of normal maps are made through hipoly version ;P. This is news for me. I found on google how to create normal maps like you said. So i guess hipoly models are just rendered for videos and low poly model for games. Now i'm going to get started to create a low-poly version of this mesh :).
Yay, another modeler, keep it up I would suggest making the “wings” a little sharper, maybe somewhat bigger. Right now they remind me of chicken wings
