Importing animation (Makehuman -> Blender -> JME3)

Hi guys,

i have a problem with importing my animation into JME3 and hope someone can help me with it…
So I have created a basic character in Makehuman and exported it to a .mhx file for blender:

This works fine and I see the bones and controls in blender. Then I created an animation for testing and tried to import it into JME3 but I hat to mention that the animation is messed up:

I also added a root bone and set it as parent for the auto-generated bones! There are many forum topics about this issue and nearly everyone of these say that i should apply rotation, location and scale to the model as well as to the armature. I did this but it takes no effect.

I would like to ask you if someone could take a look at my blend file and tell me what’s wrong with it?! I have absolutely no idea. For converting my .blend file I use the built in ‘convert to…’ function in the SDK. I don’t want to use the ogre exporter as i optimized my workflow for importing .blend files directly. My Blender version is 2.70.

ZIP file with the .blend, the .j3o and the textures:
character.zip

I would really appreciate if someone could help me :slight_smile:

Thanks,
Chris

Heres a rundown on importing from MakeHuman, feel free to extend it with any info that helps you:

Thanks for your reply! I did it the exact same way. The model is imported correctly but unfortunately there is nothing about animations on this site :/ I'm gonna edit it when I have the solution!

Okay, sorry. Didn't know that!
