jMonkey 3.0 : Beginner's Guide, is it worth it?

I’m think of getting the eBook of jMonkeyEngine 3.0 : Beginner’s Guide, but I don’t know if it’s worth it. Is it the same as learning from the online tutorials? Does anyone here read it, and if so, do you recommend it?

I recommend it. It doesn’t exactly cost millions anyway. I bought both books. It is fairly up to date. Maybe only the shadows thing has changed a bit.

I also bought both books a couple of years ago, and learned loads from them. I highly recommend them.

Perhaps you should read and study the online tutorials first before buying the books.There is much knowledge to be earned from them alone.

@Damien_M

I know, I took all the beginner tutorials, and doing a lot of tutorials. I just enjoy having something to read (a whole book) to learn something. :slight_smile:
