If you activate android deployment everything works fine. However if you deactivate it and then activate it again deactivation seems to delete some files and then activation never puts them back.
To work around it I had to create a new project, activate deployment in that and then copy the contents of the “mobile” folder from the new one to the original project. At that point the Important Files appeared and deployment and suchlike was fine.
