For me, java monkey is not updating when I try to update. It keeps saying, checking for updates when I click on help > check for updates. When I try to run code written on my friend’s laptop he has given me, it gives the error: “The Binary file is of newer version than expected! 2 > 1” My internet connection is fine, all proxys are off, and firewalls turned off. I can’t figure out any other reason as to why jme can no longer update.

use java 6, java 7 gave me that problem too.
