Online World

I want to create an Online-world with the Java Monkeyengine.

And now I am looking for programmers and coders that could do the job.

Everyone interested can post it here.

Forgive my ignorance–what, exactly, is an "online world?"

An Online-World is a virtual world that players can enter via the internet.

Do you know Second Life, Runescape, Runes of Magic or maybe Rappelz?

If not take a look at http://www.runescape.com/ and http://secondlife.com/!

Have you programmed with the JME yet?

Dear god of the "onlineworld", I can't tell you my feelings. We the clan of the monkey

waited for centuries that you appear. Now that you, the chosen one, are here and seek

for servants I would like to hear your commands of power and justice…

XD

Creating a virtual world is a complex project, that requires an experienced skilled team.
No one thinks your post is serious, because a lot a information are missing:
1. What is the concept of the application? (Key-features, target-group, unique selling points, ... )
2. Commercial, open-source, freeware... ?
3. What is the current state of the project?
4. What are your skills and level of experience? Have you already developed complex applications?
5. Who is part of the team currently?
6. What are the plans for the project?

When you present good answers to all of these questions, there may be a chance that you will find an experienced developer who will join your team.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I did a barrel roll when i saw this. Its not called an online world its called a MMORPG.

You should be careful of reading forums while flying, accidents can happen.

Online worlds aren't always RPGs', or designed for massive numbers of players.

Everyone must agree though, this is an awesome thread :stuck_out_tongue:

Is he what they call a Troll?

Looking at his picture I believe he is at least as hairy as a troll.

Alright, I'd say this his gotten a bit off track at this point… I'm closing this thread.  If OP has any further announcements or questions regarding his project he may make a new thread
