Positional nodes

I know you can set the position of a sample, but that doesn’t really cut it when you are playing the same sound in multiple places at the same (or overlapping) times. I used to simply create a couple nodes and fire off the sound on a free node, positioning that node where I needed the sound to play. Now it seems like that is impossible. Am I missing something?

If not, can you fix this? It makes a lot of cool sound effects hard or not possible.
