Putting a useful resourses sticky somewhere

the subject says it really,  might be a good idea, when you do it in offtopic it sinks to bottom and disappears for it instance I often search for textures and never found this until I visited the L3DT forums, never seen so many seamless texrures in one before this.

On the Wiki?

why not :slight_smile: :wink:

Or you could use the site that I developed a LONG time ago. :wink:

If you want textures, I've run across quite a few off of the Blender site.

Also, in GIMP there's a filter that's installed by default that is called "Make Seamless" that can make your textures seamless for you  :mrgreen:

Filters->Map->Make Seamless

wiiiiikiiiiiii

Making a wiki entry now…please use it: the more people that check it out and update it, the better it gets!

Edit:  It's minimal, because I've got pizza that's wanting to be cut and eaten, but…meh.  No deadline.

Cool  :slight_smile:

I've updated it a little as I don't think it needs to include just free resources as long as it's clear how much they cost.

I added http://www.hazelwhorley.com/

BTW: We should distinguish between "free for non-commercial" and "total free" use.

any links on free low polygon models?

I've been searching and everything is highly detailed, commercial or… well, furniture

No direct links but the method I've used for this is to find forums for existing games that have a solid modding community and talk to the artists/modelers there.  Often they are willing to help out, or just let you use models they've already made for your purposes so long as they get proper credit.

good idea!
thanks
