ShaderBlow Project

Hi guys.

Most of you know the ShaderBlow project, but now it was officially moved to JME-Contributions.
The project now is hosted here: https://code.google.com/p/jmonkeyplatform-contributions/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk%2Fshaderblowlib%2FShaderBlow
And we now have official wiki: http://jmonkeyengine.org/wiki/doku.php/sdk:plugin:shaderblow

And also, @H added the project as a plugin for JME-SDK. You can find “shaderblowlib” plugin in the SDK->Plugins.

Thanks to all contributors! And also, if you want to to add something you can contact me or @H . Or you can make a post here.
We maintain the project since March 2011. This is the greatest honor for us.

Thanks.

Agree. I’m very happy!!

@wezrule has added 4 super cool shaders to the ShaderBlow. Thanks a lot to him!

WIKI Page has been updated by him either: https://wiki.jmonkeyengine.org/legacy/doku.php/sdk:plugin:shaderblow

Have Fun!

Cool!

@wezrule: Thanks for providing them
@mifth: Thanks for collecting them

Btw - What about @toneg0ds GPU animation stuff, wouldn’t this be a nice contribution to the shaderblow project as well?

We already have it in ShaderBlow. Here is testCase:
https://code.google.com/p/jmonkeyplatform-contributions/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk%2Fshaderblowlib%2FShaderBlow%2Ftest-src%2Fcom%2Fshaderblow%2Ftest%2Fgpuanimationfactory

I forgot to add it to WIKI. I’ll add it soon. The only issue is AnimationFactory does not support GPU-Skinning. As the shader has too big account of variables.

Oh I wasn’t aware of this - I only checked the wiki… Good to know that its part of shaderblow!

I would like to test Glass Shader and MatCap Shader from wiki. Unfortunately links to source and forum threads for that shaders are not working any longer. Where they have been moved?

Hi.

The project is still here.

  1. Get the repository Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting.
  2. Check “jmonkeyplatform-contributions/shaderblowlib/ShaderBlow/” folder

Question moved to a separate thread

I am currently working on the wiki conversion of the contributors page and this project does not show up as a plugin as is stated in the docs, the zip file is not in the wiki repository, there is no library in the SDK, nothing in the jmonkey repository on it.

It is on a google website dated from 2011 stating its now a plugin for jmonkey though.

  1. Is this even applicable anymore?
  2. If not, should I just delete the wiki plugin docs and the pages this has?

I do not know about it’s sdk plugin state but the project itself is maintained at

I was able to run it without problem on JME SDK 3.1 beta-2.
I tested it with this PR merged.
Found very cool shaders in that project.

Thanks Ali,
Ill try and fix what I can with the pages using this.

@mitm thanks so much because of all your time and work you put on wiki and fixes you made to wiki pages. :grinning:

Really appreciate you.

Glad to help.

This is nice stuff.

Any idea why its not part of the SDK plugins now?

This wiki now complete. Anyone who hasn’t seen this should check it out.

Which wiki?; I can’t find it :S

The link is up at the top of the page, just above the logo.

SDK plugin server is down.

How do you think, can I include these shaders to SS Editor? I can’t find any license of the code…
