TerrainLodControl eats too much CPU

I created a massive landscape (512, 3 x 3). My framerate is set to 60.

Now the test:



First I used the TerrainLodControl on each field, but the performance was bad(FPS 59).

I tested the landscape without TerrainLodControl and the result was great!

I got 62 FPS and my landscape looks better!



Did I mistreated TerrainLodControl? It’s hard to imagine TLC fails in its purpose!

What do you mean by “used the TerrainLodControl on each field”?

I haven’t noticed a constant slowdown in FPS, just a little bit when the LOD changes. Is this a constant slowdown you are seeing?
