.3ds

hi.

I search about loading .3ds format in jme. some people complain about that some of their models's part is not exactly where it must be.

I have the same problem. my model in the screen is not appropriate. I wonder if this problem is fixed out???(anybody?)

I wouldn't be surprised if you said that about another format or another engine. There are lots of tools and programs that just refuse to follow the spec of the format… What modeling tool are you using?

Using the MESH.XML and/or SCENE format for static models might help. I find it most stable as the exporters for modeling tools are officially supported by the Ogre3D engine creators and since there's only one application that imports them, all exporters are designed to match that application's specs. There's both a MESH.XML and SCENE importer on the radakan SVN on sourceforge.
