I somehow suspect that it’s mostly the assets tho.
I guess most of that would be possible with jme3 as it is as well, if we had the assets.
Their dynamic shadowing is great as a technique tho(and far superior)

Major different is causing a new plugin, YEBIS. I haven't seen it in action before.

I saw them demo this. The hair shader seems advanced as far as I can tell. The lighting is impressive, look at the part where the water in the coke bottle illuminates, that’s pretty nice. They talked a bit about the metaballs particle system used to create the flesh of the dragon. All in all a pretty good looking demo. I’m no expert in these matters but it seemed like a nice engine.
Yeah, its definitely a step further but at this stage its hard to discern between engine and art style I guess, meaning the engine can probably only be used to make Final Fantasy basically The term “engine” here is probably not what generic engines like CryEngine or UDK mean.
