Android moving to OpenJDK: How does this impact JMonkey?

I came across this “announcement/article” (http://venturebeat.com/2015/12/29/google-confirms-next-android-version-wont-use-oracles-proprietary-java-apis/) today saying that Google intends for the next release of Android API’s to be based on OpenJDK rather than the Google/Apache Harmony developed Java API’s. This sounds like it would end up being a win for JMonkey, but, I’m wondering what others think.

Thanks @gerald_edward_butler . It is a Good news . Happy that Google finally chose the right decision (but by force of law) .

For jme it should not make any difference. Well appart from the faster garbage collector maybee.

Well… that’s nice, maybe a way to see java 8 / 9 on android…
