After a failed update, I re-download the Alpha 4 and re-intalled it. But, after startup, the splash screen disappears and nothing happens. Were can I find the log files?

On linux : [patch]/home/yourusername/.jmonkeyplataform/dev/var/log/messages.log[/patch]
On windows : [patch]C:/User/yourusername/AppData/roamming/.jmonkeyplataform/dev/var/log/messages.log[/patch]
On MacOSX : I don't know ;P.
Anyway, make a clean re-installation. Delete :
On Windows:
[patch]C:/ProgramFiles/jMonkeyPlataform[/patch]
[patch]C:/User/yourusername/AppData/roamming/.jmonkeyplataform[/patch]
not sure, but make sure you do a clean install. Uninstall it, then if the .jmonkeyplatform hidden folder exists, delete that then reinstall.
Just use the uninstaller and delete the settings when it asks.
@glaucomardano deleted this folder, [java]C:/User/yourusername/AppData/roamming/.jmonkeyplataform[/java] and everything is back to normal. Thanks.

The log folder for OS X is located at:
[java]/Users/username/Library/Application Support/jmonkeyplatform/dev/var/logmessages.log[/java]

..and all of this is documented in the release post as well ;)
Those posts would get a lot more attention if we had you in some sort of a monkey suit sitting in front of a web cam screaming "read the manual".
Its too bad jME3 didn't remain Gorilla 3D or else we could've added this to @pspeed's list of weird things on Amazon

I only have experience in window and linux as well, but still not in MacOSX :D. I still will make a Trial Boot....
@glaucomardano First I tried deleting these folders,
[java]C:Usersirfan.jmonkeyplatform
C:Usersirfan.jmonkeyplatform-installer[/java]
then, the uninstaller stopped working. I tried installing and uninstalling several times, but no luck. The fresh installation was also crashing.
No, only If you had done a backup of the jmp folders installed in your machine before, then the only way to revert it is reinstalling. I use ubuntu, and always i’m going to update my jmp, i do a backup so i don’t need to reinstall it again.
Edit: Also, in jmp don’t install the “code-checkers” plugin and just check the nightly build repository. Also, before installing jmp plugins, install the Netbeans Plugin Development, because if you install that plugin after, your jmp will crash.
The code-checker was stopped during start-up for some unknown reason. Why shouldn’t I install it?
Because of exactly that
