Well if you havent seen this before, its a pretty cool tool along the lines of the amazing Nvidia perfkit stuff for directx - I haven’t seen AMD’s equivalent, but imagine its similar too.

I have had a quick play, and unfortunately, it takes an executable file to run and there is no immediately obvious simple way to use it from inside my IDE (Eclipse) - BUT it works fine for debugging jar files (e.g. pass it java -jar xxx.jar for the startup parameters).
