Sweet!  8) Kind of reminds me of Portal.  ;)

That's what I was thinking.
This game looks extremely addicting/fun. As soon as it releases I might play it on an unhealthy level. Ingeniously challenging simply awesome.

Thanks everyone.

Then you will be probably faster than me! :)

Yesterday I started to create levels where you have to use real Grappling-Hook-Kung-Fu! I have to test if the tutorials are good enough so that most people can beat them after some training in normal mode. The "hard" mode will be for real hardcore-gamers and Grappling-Hook-Champions.

I recorded a new video today, to prove that not all levels have claustrophobic proportions. :D

hi jack i love your game.. it must be really cool!
i want to ask u a question: how u build your levels so quickly?
which method do u use?

awesome job again :)

Will this be playable to the public (Me) any time soon? Like a demo? I can't wait and you are making fast progress.

I have created an ingame level editor based on octree subdivision. You can switch between playing and editing with just one key-hit, so you can change everything immediatly during testing.
While editing you chose a editing size and create and remove blocks. To place special objects like turrets, items, ... you just convert a solid block with one key-hit.
The creation of a normal level takes about 2-5 hours (+ some polishing after external testers). The hardest part is to get the ideas for the puzzels. :)
I will create a video tutorial soon.
The editor will be included in the full version of the game, so everyone can create his own challenging Grappling Hook Levels. :)

There are still some open tasks, but I will try to release the demo within the next 2 weeks.

Grappling Hook is almost finished!

There are two updates about the latest changes at: http://www.speedrungames.com/

good to see everything is working fine and again nice progress. let me know when i can play it, right now the only thing i "play" is my own project and it's not as far as yours :stuck_out_tongue:

are you at the GDC Europe before the gamescom? i'll be there the whole week for the conference and the exhibition - maybe we finally get that cup of coffee there along with some first impressions of pv

Hi denzer,

I plan to be in Cologne at the gamesCom on the 19.08. Unfortunately I got to many appointments this month.

Would be great when we could meet there!

Hey,

there are new screenshots of Grappling Hook on the website below my london holiday pictures: ^^

Next week I will post some samples of the music and hopefully a new trailer.

The game is now in a polished and almost bugfree state.

I will be in bulgaria from friday to wednesday, but after that I will make distribution deals!

I have no experience with the publishing-process, but very soon I hope. :)
