Improvement for particle system

Why don’t you try to use ARB_point_sprites extension for rendering particles ? It could make an important speedup…

That’s just a thought… I don’t really know if it would be interesting to add it to the engine.

Simply because it’s not as widely supported as simple quads and we’ve been able to get decent performance out of what we have. Perhaps in a later version, but as mojo has directed, we are moving towards feature completeness, leaving multiple reworking of functional systems for a later optimization phase.
