I have been learning a lot through JME 3.1 SDK Beta for the past couple of months. I love it and thank you so much. However, I notice that, for the past three recent versions of JME 3.1 SDK Beta, my “Check for Updates” would be hanging indefinitely.
I hope someone can help.
My PC is Linux Mint 18.1 with Kernel 4.4.53.

Yes, the update server is down for a long time.
Just skip those updates from http://updates.jmonkeyengine.org.
Note you can yet update all Netbeans related plugins. (JME SDK is based on Netbeans IDE).
Do you know why it went down?
@pspeed i would be more than happy to pay for server hosting off something like digital ocean if needed.
a) this has nothing to do with me.
b) how many years were you planning on paying for in advance? 10? 15? The issue last time was that our server deal dried up in a matter of days leaving us barely any time to grab backups. Now we seek only free solutions, not back-door deals, either… but free like really free. So we’ve moved the wiki to github, release jars and plugins on bintray, etc.
