It seems that the sourceforce version is not compatable with the latest jME. It's trying to getVertices from TriMesh and that's not flying.
Am I all wet? Did I do something wrong, or should I try out Physics 2?
I posed the question a while back if anyone was still needing jME-Physics1 for anything they were working on and see the benefit of updating to the newest version of jME, but got little to no response, so I haven't touched it. I would suggest either using an older version of jME or upgrade to jME-Physics2.
Or you could always make the fixes to it yourself and I would be happy to push them into the repository.

yeah, ive been using jme 1.0 with the old physics and cvs jme for new physics
