For my recollection of how to do it in maven, you’d have to put a pom.xml into the assets directory and then somehow specifically add each of those subdirectories as src directories. I don’t remember if maven lets you have more than one. I know it didn’t use to as I had that requirement on one old project and it wouldn’t support it.
