Quick question on oracle jdk and linux 64. I’m setting up a new hdd config and upgrading to the AMD Phenom II x4, And alos want to try Linux Mint 64 KDE. as a dual boot to my standard win xp.
But before I go through the process of installing Oracle JDK 6, or 7. I just wanted to ask if it’s ok to setup JDK 7, or should I stick with the JDK 6? The main reason I ask is the I noticed that jdk 6 is reaching EOL in November.

jME Works perfectly fine with JDK 7 under Linux, both 32-Bit and 64-Bit. I am using the 64-Bit Oracle JDK myself under Ubuntu.
