I was just looking at recent revisions to the Google Code project, and I saw that Kirill has updated Controls so that it doesn't add the same mapping twice. I wanted to comment on it to suggest that it seems strange to just ignore it, and should notify the user, but it doesn't seem to allow me. Do I need special rights on the project to add comments?
Yes, the googlecode functions are mainly meant for developers communication, just post in the forum, its meant to be the main communication tool.
I don't think many people are keeping watch of the googlecode issues anyway… the forum is really where the action is
Fair enough. It does seem a bit strange though to use the forums for bugs when Google Code provides a perfectly capable bug tracker…
Momoko and Normen use it a bit for jME3 stuff, but one of the downsides is that its not integrated with our website. This means that we lose out on many potential bug-fixers since the traffic of the main site is substantially higher than that of the Google Code project…

Good point. I'm surprised that Google hasn't provided some sort of API for integrating the issue tracker into the projects website.
Another reason why we want to move the site to BuddyPress… We can do plugins to integrate such stuff properly
