I'm importing an .obj model and it's got some predefined origin point. This would normally be ok, except that when I try to rotate the model it rotates around this point instead of the model centroid.
Is there a way to shift the rotation point of the model?
Unfortunately, no. Because your model has a predefined origin, it means that the vertices that make up the model have that offset built in. That is something that you'll have to fix in a modeler and re-export.
hmm, ok I'm three weeks late, but what about adding the model to a node, translate the model locally and rotate the node then?
Hmm, 7 years late, but yeah, you definitely can do it with nodes.
seriously? nothing interesting to do?
don’t dig up 7 years old post to say nothing please.
