Splash Screen for jMonkey Games

I am working on a project when I start the game I am currently displaying a black image with text saying “jMonkey Engine 3” I would like to have a nicer jMonkey splash screen is there a copy or the monkey head on the banner that I could have? I tried to use the banner but the top of his head is cut off :cry:

What I entend to do with it is make it black and wight put it into a circle and surround it with a mettal casing using a nice rounding shine effect

the outside doesn’t look metallic I want metal not plastic. any help?

Here is a five minute effort… Sometimes photoshop’s concept of a stroked circle is a little strange…

still looks like plastic I did some messing with the curves but noting I liked so I just scrapped it and made this.

I was going to go for chrome 256x256 scratched metal texture.

EDIT:
I would still be interested in adding back the border if you have any suggestions.

I think brushed nickel is about as close as I can get without expending too much effort:
