So what does everyone think about Spore? I have been waiting for it for years and I am still on the edge of my seat about it. I am sure I will dump way to much time into it, once it is released in "Fiscal year 2020". 
For some reason I have this strange feeling that it will end up really bad :|… You know those kind of things that there's lots of publicity about but in the end it sucks?
the boring thing is that you now have seen so many videos and demonstrations that it's starting to loose it's wow factor…at least for me…
hopefully they can do what valve usually do, get huge hype and publicity, and then deliver up those the expectations 
Yeah, I have that same sort of feeling. I'm starting to think that they missed their window of opportunity. But, who knows, it might be ok.
Spore is actually just a 'tech prototype' that Wil Wright made, the leap to releasing it was pushed by EA.
It is merely a mini-game that uses new software technology, which we will be seeing a lot more of sooner or later.
